Alan Salton
Managing Director
Alan is an experienced professional with a 30-year history of working in the computer software industry, primarily with ERP-based solutions.
Currently, Alan is responsible for managing Client Services, Business Development, and Industry Relations at Panorama. He is leading the company in a business transformation and defining a new information strategy.
Alan previously served as Director of Innovation at Panorama where he led the implementation of an open innovation strategy to develop networks and partnerships with start-ups, industry analysts, academics, technology influencers, and venture capital partners.
Prior to this, Alan was Chief Innovation Officer with abas AG. His responsibilities included driving innovation and development for a diverse product portfolio, services, and processes to create value for customers competing in an increasingly digital environment.
Alan was also President of abas-USA, a value-added reseller and implementer of abas ERP software. He managed all facets of the business, improved internal processes, and developed sales and marketing strategies. Alan also directed a product development team with an emphasis on cloud technologies, business process management software, web portals, and mobile applications.
Alan holds a master’s degree in Technology Management from the University of Maryland and a certification in Business Process Reengineering.
Calvin Hamler
Managing Director
Calvin Hamler is a Wall Street finance professional and entrepreneur, with proven results building and leading organizations of significant size, scale and complexity, managing both horizontal and vertical growth initiatives, and personally orchestrating and negotiating strategic mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.
A summa cum laude graduate in finance and economics from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, Calvin has carried various professional designations throughout his career, including a myriad of different securities industry licenses and accreditations in financial services. Experienced in managing proprietary trading and risk arbitrage operations, he has also served on boards of directors for financial services industry trade groups.
Calvin is a serial entrepreneur. Prior to acquiring an equity interest in Panorama in 2011 and eventually reorganizing its consulting platform, he grew his own startup financial services firm to over 600 employees operating in more than 30 states. In addition to building an industry-leading capital markets hedging and trading operation, he oversaw IT staff in both the development of proprietary ERP systems and the selection and implementation of off-the-shelf ERP solutions. Calvin also orchestrated a joint venture with a startup software development firm to build proprietary middleware designed for the banking and financial services industries that is widely used today.
Vanessa Davison
Managing Director
Vanessa’s career has been rich with disrupting the status quo to help organizations launch products, execute operational models and build their corporate culture. She brings a proven management track record of over 20 years of experience in either a COO or CEO capacity. She has been able to help organizations achieve radical growth and transformation with her skills in managing overall corporate operations and deploying capital and resources. She led multiple merger & acquisition transactions as well as a few turnaround projects helping organizations achieve radical transformation and increase net profits.
Vanessa began her career in the late 1990s, serving as President and CEO of a de novo financial banking platform. She formulated and executed the corporate strategy, successfully targeting a multi-national Latin American market, and grew the company from 36 employees to over 1,200 employees while maintaining profit margins and diversifying the company’s sources of revenue within 36 months. She then served as a turnaround COO, implementing cost cutting initiatives that drove down the organization’s combined cost to produce by 48% in seven months through the introduction of efficient process flows, deployment of technology and corporate reorganization and organizational development. Currently, she focuses on using her financial, organizational development and operational acumen to assist organizations and governments in operating more effectively to efficiently serve its citizens, employees and customers.
At Panorama, Vanessa oversees Government Consulting, Human Resources, and Administration.
Vanessa has advanced graduate certificates from the Harvard School of Business and the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University, and holds dual Bachelor degrees from the University of California at Berkeley.
Joe Ambrose
Expert Services Practice Director
Joe is a proven leader and change agent with over 30 years of experience in the areas of organizational performance, software selection and implementation, strategic change management, and business process optimization. He has worked in several business verticals, including automotive, manufacturing, professional services, finance, distribution, telecommunications, software, and technology.
Currently, Joe is responsible for leading Panorama’s Expert Services Practice. This involves managing Organizational Development, Project Management, Expert Witness, and small Software Selection clients.
Prior to joining Panorama, Joe founded SalesWerks, a strategic organizational change and sales growth consulting firm, and later ProActiveIT Werks, a technology company specializing in technology strategy in the manufacturing and distribution market. Joe also formed SoftwareWerks, LLC to focus solely on Software Selection, Implementation Strategy, and Expert Witness Consulting.
Joe was the former President of Visual Business Solutions, a gold implementation partner for Infor, with over 750 customers throughout 15 states using the Infor Visual ERP product. Joe led the company to Infor Channel Partner of the Year twice, implemented change management strategy into all service offerings, and created numerous successful partner alliances and channel partnerships.
In addition, Joe spent 11 years at Ameritech/AT&T, where he led an internal performance consulting organization, served as Director of Technical Training, and eventually served as Director of Human Capital with tri-state responsibility for 18 offices, 38 managers, and a $10 million operation hiring over 6,000 people per year.
Joe has an MBA from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in management and organizational behavior from Benedictine University. He is a Registered Organizational Development Professional (RODP) and has certificates of advanced graduate study in organizational change management and marketing.
Annel Henderson
Controller
Annel is a proven strategic and tactical financial leader who guides and supports teams while building systems and processes that enhance operational visibility by providing platforms that lead to reliable and relevant financial reporting. She has broad experience with GAAP and federal, state and local tax reporting requirements and compliance. She is a skilled problem solver with the ability to delve into detail while keeping a global perspective.
Annel has 25+ years’ experience as an accounting and financial leader showcasing a thorough understanding of corporate accounting and in-depth knowledge integrating processes, workflows and systems. She has developed accounting systems from the ground up and has been responsible for all accounting and finance operational functions.
Prior to joining Panorama, Annel had extensive accounting experience in structured financial investments and mortgage operations including loan origination, servicing, mortgage loan securitizations, servicing rights, bond securitizations and bond investment portfolio holdings. She was at the forefront of niche investment strategies in various portfolio holdings of rated and unrated bond securities and the subsequent workout of portfolio securities. Annel developed customized reporting systems for tracking the unique securities, and was instrumental in modeling a new security structure for a Wall Street firm takeout of a $100M portfolio of subordinated debt securities – one of the first collateralized debt obligation security issuances.
At Panorama as Controller, Annel is responsible for all accounting and finance functions, and has designed and developed revenue and resource forecasts. Annel has worked as a consultant on several client projects including successful implementation of a loan level accounting system for a mortgage company, and selection of an enterprise software system for a large international accounting firm.
Annel is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She earned her Master of Accounting & Financial Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management and was a member of the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society.
